It’s a shame when we hear that residents of California have not experienced the awe of The Getty Museum of Art in Los Angeles…We made a field trip out there to look for some more influence and inspiration…but we gained a lot more…
We wanted to check out the old master paintings above anything, but we had the chance to see some sculptures and casts, centuries old on our way in and around…Paying attention to content, story, and subject matter…
Here’s a little taste of the amazing work the Getty has on display…we can’t give it to you all…you gotta see them for yourselves…dozens to hundreds of flawless works no blog can do justice.
We passed by the Sketch Gallery on the way out and our guest artist and friend John Perez particpated in a quick gestural rendering of a marble cast sculpture…
Make sure if your in the area to stop by the museum, it’s like nothing you have ever seen…
