ESTANCIA HIGH.
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Local student from Newport-Mesa Unified School District came into the shop a few days ago inquirying if she was primitted to walk through and stay to ask a few questions. Other students have roamed our shop as well and every time someone new walks in its always a progressive interaction. Not to get a tattoo, not to kill time but an honest teenager interseted in observing the old art in a new environment. Surrounded by big screens and the latest technology Gaby only had her eyes set on the art, tattoos, and artists at work. She had interestes of writing a report on the hands on observation of the tattooing process.

Intrigued by the making of the stencil to the placement and adhesive used, Gaby did not lose sight of every action. The first day she came in she obsereved Gustavo throw down a sick tattoo and Miguels lettering from its pencil beginnings. What is that? How’d you do that? Why? Wait, what did you do? The second day, on St. Pratricks Day she was presented to Jose and stepped into his office for an official glimse. Our friend Scott was in session heming up his beuaitful sleeve in progress. Scott even added expressing his insights and expreince in the chair as a tattoo collector. So much more can be wriiten on just this story alone, like the half hour that Jose dedicated in giving his thoughts and insights, to Scotts personal life expriences. Gaby we’re leaving the rest of the story for your high school report…

CROSSING THE POND
Saturday, October 10th, 2009
The last weeks now seem like a blur, something between the jet lag and gambling, along with the new studio, must have made us miss the beauty of London, but then again that’s why there’s pictures! always a sight to see, and never taken for granted, the beautiful landmarks of London stuck on our minds…
(Above) Mark and Jose in front of the London Bridge (Below) Gustavo, Jose, and Mark posing with Big Ben…
” The most famous clock in the world, this is a tired picture of us, completely exhausted in front of BIG BEN. That was our last night in London and we HAD to go see the clock. Right about then I really felt like choking Jose, just don’t tell him that, but down below…seeing one of those phone booths that I had seen all my life, I had to make a phone call haha” -Mark Osuna

We had seen a postcard of The London Eye landmark, so we decided to make our own Halmark moment, Gustavo and Mark posing in front with the brilliant and surreal lights at night…it was a scene like no other…
The London Tattoo Convention was something else. Some of the strongest competitors and artists were in attendance and it was all seriousness the moment we entered…With all our hard work and fight, we came home with Best Black and White, 3rd Prize…
The inscription reads “Votre Future” which translates to “Your Future, ” one more for Lowrider Tattoo…
