OUR RENAISSANCE.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Miki Vialetto and all the great folks of  Tattoo Life for hosting yet another great show. It’s because of your sincere efforts that the opportunity for us to contribute to the culture is even possible. The Milan Tattoo Convention is the tradeshow of all of Europe. Artists from across the globe come together like no other show to keep the art movement alive and thriving. It’s both fulfilling and ironic to see all our friends from back home…..some of us live in the same city and yet we have to fly across the world to hang with each other. To make up for it, here’s the roll call.

The don Jack Rudy of Tattoo Land takes us back to school.

While Bob Tyrrell pulls in another late night session.

Carlos Torres is a beast, and also the coolest dude in the room.

The good homie Steve Soto has been killing it all weekend long.

While people are lined up to be blessed by the hands of Chuey Quintanar.

Standards rise, and everything stops when Nikko Hurtado is in the building.

Mikey Doodles builds experience for his future ventures.

While Johnny Opina kills it for his very first appearance overseas.

And the one and only Jose Lopez reminds us what hard work is really about.

Across the board, all the collections presented were strong pieces. Collectors and artists who’ve dedicated years of back breaking work finally come to light to seize the show.

Never underestimate what lies beneath….

And saving the best for last, congratulations to all the heavy hitters taking home the honors. Our one and only Mark Osuna seals the deal taking in 1st place Black n Grey with Jose’s collection. Another reminder of how important all the blood, sweat and tears really is that leads to the top. Its the journey to that counts.

Well done bubba
